Steven Omoto, OD

Dr. Steven grew up in Sacramento. He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in the Greenhaven area. He received his first B.S. degree from the University of California, Davis. The second B.S., as well as his Doctor of Optometry were received from the Southern California College of Optometry. After receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree, he married Dr. April Omoto. Dr. Steve and April then spent a year teaching optometry in Japan. Upon returning to the United States, they opened their office. They have a successful practice thanks to the many nice patients that they see. They try to treat everyone like family, with a personal touch. Dr. Steve attends many courses and continuing education classes throughout the year and is currently licensed to the fullest extent of optometric law. He has the ability to prescribe diagnostic and therapeutic drugs for patients, treat many ocular conditions and manage pre and post-operative care of cataract patients. He has also been certified by Pacific College of Optometry to do pre and post-operative Lasik/PRK patient care since 1995. He is currently active in managing Lasik and post-operative cataract patients from several centers. Dr. Steve is also active in the other endeavors. Professionally, he has been a past Treasurer and Secretary of the Sacramento Valley Optometric Society, education Committee course monitor for the California Optometric Committee Association for 11 years. He is a Vision Source co-administrator and a member and past Chairman of the Board of Directors and a Supervisory Committee member of the Vision One Credit Union. He is also the treasurer of the John F. Kennedy High School grad Night Committee for 1999, 2000 and 2002, and active in church activities.
